1. Introduction
Currently intellectual capital established a strong position in companies as a valuable factor in the development of
innovation. But, unfortunately, in Russia only a fraction of companies gives due importance to this fact.
In comparison with foreign companies, which have been using the system for intellectual capital management,
this process is very slow in Russia. It is expected a long process of implementation of intellectual capital manage-
ment system in the Russian companies, the awareness of its importance in the company and conduct the practi-
cal research. With enough close attention economic leap through the development of Russian science-intensive
enterprises will be possible.
Thus, the formation of intellectual capital is the basis of competitive advantages of the organization, but compa-
nies often neglect this fact and prefer to invest in tangible assets, resulting the intellectual capital impairment and
inhibition of innovative development. Typical skills and knowledge for the industry can be copied by competitors.
The improvement of intellectual component in the company’s portfolio by investing resources and appropriate
management can be led the achievement of the unique competitive advantage and increasing the value of the
product for the consumer.
